FCRC collected soil from the site of the Johnson Warehouse in Palmetto where Tip Hutson, Edward Brown, Henry Bingham, Bud Cotton, and John Bigby were lynched in 1899. The soil was brought to the Palmetto City Cemetery for a public ceremony because it was suggested that the five men may have been buried here in unmarked graves.
